Following our popular Warner’s short break to Cricket St Thomas in 2022, 2023 sees us visiting Littlecote House. Famous for their nightly entertainment, daily leisure activities and with a great reputation for food and customer service, Warner Leisure Hotels has been entertaining its guests for 90 years, with all their properties becoming adult only in 1994.
Our 4 night / 5 day stay at the historic Grade I listed Littlecote House in Wiltshire will see us benefit from all the usual things you would expect on a Warner Leisure Hotels holiday but in addition we will include two half day excursions, one to Oxford and one to Bath. We will take a lunch stop at Windsor en route to Littlecote House and at Henley-on-Thames as we return home. So, all the quality but with none of the hassle of organising things yourself.
The cost of the trip will be £479 per person based on two sharing a twin or double standard room. Sole occupancy is always very limited and fills up fast. We have just 10 sole occupancy places available to us currently, with a supplement of £120. Please see side panel for a more detailed itinerary and what is included in the price.
If you wish to book on the short break or have any questions, please contact me as below and we can get you booked in and sort a deposit payment. The balance payment will be due 12 weeks prior to our departure.
Monday – will find us leaving from behind the Dorking Halls at 9am, with a view to avoiding the worst of the rush hour traffic. on our way to the hotel, we will take a mid- morning/lunch break in Windsor. With the opportunity to just grab a tea or coffee or a light lunch, there will be time for a little sight-seeing as well. enjoy the wide variety of shops or visit the Castle, the choice will be yours. Just after lunch we will continue to the hotel. arriving at a convenient time to check in, the rest of the day and evening will be yours to acquaint yourself with the hotel and its surroundings, enjoy the facilities, dinner and of course the evening entertainment.
Tuesday – today we will offer an optional excursion to oxford. Home to the oldest University in the english-speaking world, oxford needs no introduction. you won’t find yourself short of things to do. visit the world-famous covered market, take the Hop on Hop off bus or consider a visit to Christ Church or the bodleian Library.
Wednesday – our mid-week optional excursion will be to the roman City of bath. in addition to bath abbey and the roman baths themselves, you could choose to make your way to the royal victoria Park and royal Crescent to take in the spectacular views. if you fancy more shopping, then the 19th Century Guildhall Market might be the place to head for.
Thursday – for our final full day at the hotel we will remain at the hotel, giving us the chance to enjoy any final activities or perhaps fit some in that we have been building up to all week! This will also give us plenty of time to pack without a mad panic.
Friday – leaving after a leisurely breakfast we will head for Henley-on-Thames where we will spend a few hours. enough time to have something to eat if we wish and to explore this beautiful riverside town. Just wandering the lovely town or taking a stroll along the river is a great way to spend your time, but how about getting on the river itself with a boat ride from Hobbs of Henley?
