The Champagne Capital’s Christmas market has established itself as a major event and is best enjoyed when you stay in a brilliant hotel in the very centre of the city, close to the principal shops, the main restaurant area and, of course, the Christmas market.
It is also within easy walking distance of Reims Cathedral where pre-revolution, its King’s coronations were held. Reims also boasts a range of museums, and we especially commend the ‘Musee de la Redittion’ which occupies the building where General Eisenhower accepted the German surrender at the end of WW2.

The Itinerary
Friday: After leaving Dorking at 07.00, the group cross the English Channel and head straight for Reims, aiming to arrive by mid-late afternoon, allowing for a comfort break. The shops will stay open until 19.00, and the Christmas market until 21.00. You will also find that Reims offers a great range of restaurants, cafés and bars.
Saturday: The day is completely free for shopping & sightseeing, and this is when your hotel’s great central location will really pay dividends.
Sunday: Departing the hotel after breakfast the coach starts the journey home. En route the group stop for an extended lunch break in the historic city of Arras which will also be hosting its colourful Christmas Market when you visit. The anticipated time of arrival back at the departure point is 21.00.
