RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival
July 3, 2025
Organized by the Royal Horticultural Society, The RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival is one of the most popular events for gardening enthusiasts, being a bonanza of glorious gardens and fabulous flowers. Attracting around 130,000 visitors every year, it is the world’s largest annual flower show. The historic palace setting is no doubt part of its appeal but there is plenty to do and see aside.
The ever-popular talks theatre schedule gives everyone the chance to catch up with their favourite speakers and even learn a new skill. There is an amazing variety of plants on display in the RHS Floral Marquee, the Plant Village and the Festival of Roses. It’s the perfect place to purchase plants and quiz specialists from Britain’s top nurseries.
Talking of shopping, visitors can browse stalls brimming with gardening products and delicious food, while the Country Living Pavilion is the perfect place to pick up treats for friends, family and your home.
Organised by the Guild of Fine Foods, the Great Taste Market gives the chance to purchase direct from local producers and Great Taste Award winners. Visitors can taste and take home a range of fine foods, wines and craft spirits from independent artisans.
The world-class Show Gardens are packed full of inspirational ideas for you to try at home. From contemporary to traditional, you’ll find something to get your inner designer going. Even if you haven’t got a garden, you can still pay them a visit – they’re simply amazing. Explore them, snap a picture of the stunning flower displays and watch demonstrations by both celebrity gardeners and chefs around the showgrounds. Plus, get tips on gardening in a changing climate and shop for garden supplies to create your own little oasis at home.
Following three very popular trips in 2018, 2022 and 2024, I have had many requests to return. With the Festival becoming a bi-annual event from 2025, there will be no show in 2026, and so 2027 would be the next chance to visit. We’ve had a waiting list on each of our previous trips and so be sure to book early in order not to miss out on one of the gardening and social calendar highlights of the year.
