Chichester Theatre Trip plus optional Backstage Tour and Dinner

Based just outside Chichester in West Wittering, Redlands is the home of Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards.  Raided by the Police in 1967 Charlotte Jones’ play is a riotous, psychedelic and hugely entertaining account of possibly the most bizarre English court case ever held.

Having been enjoying a bohemian night in with the likes of Marianne Faithfull and George Harrison, the peace is broken when the constabulary swoop down and charge Keith and Mick Jagger with drug offences. Only one man can defend the two icons of the 60s revolution: Michael Havers, leading QC and future attorney general. But the furore also brings into the spotlight his own relationship with his son, aspiring teenage actor Nigel Havers, who’s been drawn into Marianne’s orbit…

Backstage Tour – for many years we have marvelled at the Summer musical revivals we have seen, now we have the opportunity to see exactly how they do it. Lasting around 75 minutes, our tour will visit some of the backstage areas and we will learn what it takes to put on a production at one of the most iconic regional theatres in the country.

Pre-show dinner – Choose from the many options available to you in the town or if you fancy a relaxing day with very little walking, stroll over to the theatre’s very own brasserie restaurant and join us for a two-course pre-show dinner. As well as the two courses, the special group price includes a drink with the meal, tea or coffee afterwards and staff gratuity.
